The Welcome Page

Upon opening up Ad Grenade, you will notice the Welcome Page. This is where you should start to learn the functions of AdGrenade. It is an online page so you must be connected to the internet to view it.

It explains the functions of AdGrenade and how to use them. All of the updates will be posted on here as well.

 

Main Navigation Panel

AdGrenade is designed to be user friendly with an easy to navigate control panel. This main access panel displays everything that AdGrenade does.

 

Campaign Keywords

 

This tab is used for the following functions:

• Campaign Name
• Theme Name
• Group Name
• Keywords
• URL Address
• Keyword Explosion (expansion)

This will be the meat of your campaign and it usually takes a few mins to copy and paste. It is very straight forward and user friendly.

 

Campaign Networks

By clicking this tab, you will be able to see you bidding options. You can click on each bidding type to turn it off or on. You will find the following PPC Programs:

• Google Adwords
• Microsoft adCenter
• Yahoo Search Marketing
• Ask Sponsored Listings

 

Campaign Ads

 

This is where you build your ads. You will be able to click on the little blue book on the right side of the ad to enable the popup window that displays the options for dynamic keyword insertion.

There is no limit the the amount of ads you can write.

 

Tracking Options

By clicking on Assign ID, you are letting AdGrenade know that you want to start at a particular number. The "ID Increment By" box simply lets you set the ID increments. If you want to run your numbers by 1, 2, 5, 10 or whatever number you want, just set it and forget it.

As long as you haven't closed AdGrenade, the start ID will pick up on your new campaign where you last left off.

 

Exploded Campaign

AdGrenade automatically shows Google by default. If you take a look towards the bottom, you will see Microsoft, Yahoo and Ask. By clicking on any one of those tabs, you will see the code for each one like you are seeing in the Google tab.

You simply copy and paste each one of the text boxes to Google Adwords Editor. Since Yahoo, Microsoft and Ask don't have their own standalone software, you would simply copy and paste the information directly into your PPC account online.

At the very bottom, you will see "Keyword To ID Matches". You can use this for reference in Clickbank. This tells you your keyword and it's assigned number. In you Clickbank statement, you will only see the ID number.

 

Landing Page Script

You can use the AdGrenade generated .php code to dynamically display the searchers keywords. It's easy to implement. You can also change this function to use ASP.

 

Ad Grenade Help

At the time of this review, AdGrenade creator Chris Menser and his partner Steve from Commission Blueprint seem to have had some disagreements and it looks like it dissolved their partnership. How does this affect you? The forum that used to be the AdGrenade forum, was hosted on Steves server, however since the partnersip disolved, there is no longer a forum. Although AdGrenade does have a button inside the control panel for forum, it is not operating at this point.

 

Overall Thoughts:

The user interface is well thought out and lets you easily navigate via tabs.

Installation is quick and simple. You don't have to change anything in your htaccess file or any other hosting file for that matter. This makes it very user friendly for the least techical people.

The help function is useful as well as the AdGrenade forum where you get to talk to other users of the software. You can exchange ideas and help eachother out. I've found that the forum is filled with very helpful and friendly people.

 

Adwords software for PPC advertising is a must have if you really want to save time and build campaigns with precision and flexibility.

The best thing about using a software program like this is the time you will save. It really performs tasks in a few minutes that would usually take you hours.

I will never build a campaign without using Ad Grenade.

 

AdGrenade vs SpeedPPC

The price of Ad Grenade is far below the price you'll pay for Speed PPC. Although SpeedPPC has a few other features, I don't think it's worth the $500 bucks when you are not familiar with PPC Marketing.

AdGrenade and SpeedPPC perform the exact same actions and each has a function or two the other doesn't. I will only outline the most important here. Please review AdGrenade below.

 

The features that Speed PPC has that Ad Grenade doesn't are as follows:

Dynamic landing page generation - This lets you pre-define what blocks of paragraphs to use with your keyword sets. To use this feature, you must fiddle around with your hosting sql database, and other access modules that a non-technical person wouldn't know how to do. Although instructions come along with it, it's not as easy as 1-2-3.

 

The features that Ad Grenade has that Speed PPC doesn't are as follows:

Keyword Tracking ID's - AdGrenade will insert a tracking number in the increments that you define at the end of your URL along with a g,y,m or a (Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Ask) for the respective PPC Campaigns. It will also insert a letter such as b, p, e for the bidding types (broad, phrase, exact).

A typical tracking id would look something like this EX: g10p (Google is the search engine it came from, 10 is the keyword tracking number and p is the reference for Phrase match)

 

Cost Factor: This is why I can't find a reason for anyone who is just starting out, and even the intermediate PPC affilate marketers, to spend $500 on Speed PPC.

When you are already a seasoned pro with at least a two or three years of solid experience and you have built up a steady stream of income, then you can think to invest in SpeedPPC if you want to have that extra function.

But my guess is that AdGrenade will have implemented this function by then. Either way you look at it, AdGrenade is a great investment.

SpeedPPC doesn't offer all that much more than AdGrenade and the level of difficulty to use the extra features is far beyond the capabilities of a newbie to technical tinkering online.

You will have spent $500 on a piece of software that you can't even use. The frustration and time involved to set up the extra feature or two just isn't worth the $500. It will sit in your computer until you swallow your pride and buy AdGrenade anyway.
